"Mobile War Saga----Gundam W[Wing]:Endless Waltz" in full.After the somewhat mixed success of "Gundam X",Sunrise decided to used the more successful "Gumdam W" to retained the fans with this sequel/somewhat prequel.Here's the story in summary:

A.C.196,after the defeat of White Fang,Earth & the space colonies have enjoyed some peace until a war declared by a girl named Marimeia Khushrenada,the biological daughter of the late Treize Khushrenada being used by Deikin Barton & Barton Enterprise to recruit like-minded youths to fulfill his Operation Meteor.Basically,the original Operation Meteor involved throwing an abandoned space colony down to Earth and sent in five Gundam to killed all the remaining survivors in the areas which went against the beliefs of the late five scientists,who only held grudge against the former OZ & the Earth government thus altered the content of Operation Meteor instead.

Deikin Barton was originally the successor of the assassinated Heero Yuy and also believed that he could changed the world before his death and despite the enjoyed peace,Deikin still declared war out of the fact that space colonies were still ruled by Earth government with the usage of the name,Khushrenada,to amp up the spirits of the recruited young soldiers.To make their point,they kidnapped Relena Dorlian,who was now a diplomat between people of Earth & space colonies,and it became a race against time for Heero,Duo,Trowa & Quatre to rescue Relena and to recover their five Gundams,which were original sent to the sun to be destroyed when they believed that the world no longer needed Gundams.

To complicate the whole situations,Wu Fei,who continue to seek true justice before he was persuaded by Deikin & Marimeia,challenged Heero with Heero forced to opened up his old wounds as he recalled a mission which he accidentally killed a kind hearted little girl when an MS collapsed onto the building she lived in,after Heero detonated the explosive.It might had been years old past yet it still made Heero lost his will to fight but enough to made Wu Fei reliased that Heero tried to tell him that he had been chasing blindly after the ghost of late Treize all these time.

While Heero was fighting against Wu Fei,Duo,Trowa & Quatre had been fighting off the army of Marimeia but they were eventually outnumbered hence the thought of using the self destruct systems,until Heero placed a well aimed shot to open his way into the bunker where Deikin commanded the army and kept Relena.It was a checkmate for Deikin so Marimeia no longer served the purpose he intended but not before a soldier executed him out of disgust.After it was over,Heero,Duo,Trowa,Quatre & Wu Fei self destructed their Gundams but one thing could be certain was that if there's going to be another war,they would band together again without hesitation to fight for the hard earned peace.

Unlike the original,this one had also been branded as the unnecessary sequel with mixed success as some of the fans had some hard time accepting the new mechanical designs of the five Gundams.Despite of the above factors,there are some good points made in the series such as the war being described as an endless waltz and Marimeia being used as a symbol/icon by Deikin like Minerva Zabi being used by Haman Kan for similar purposes.Despite only making appearance in the Anime,Deikin Barton actually had been playing a shadowy figure in both series as shown in a Manga titled "Mobile war Saga:Gundam W:Episode Zero" where he tried to avenge the death of Heero Yuy by hired that same assassin,so to kill him later.

In the very same Manga and chapter,young Heero also was responsible for the existence of Marimeia when he fired a rocket that was blocked by the young Treize,which eventually had him met Reea Barton who gave birth to Marimeia Barton and also hinted in the photograph belonged to the real Trowa Barton.In another Manga titled "Mobile War Saga----Gundam W:Blind Target",it explained that some surviving members of Whie Fang intended to obtain Gundams so to create more Mobile Suits of the same class for the new war and despite being thwarted by heero,Duo,Trowa,Quatre & Wu Fei,they believed that it was best to destroy them personally except Wu Fei who was recruited by Deikin & Marimeia.

Perhaps this series could have been better if Sunrise chose to expand it instead of trying to finish it in three episodes,otherwise many people may be oblivious to the whole plot especially without the references of the above two Mangas.With Mr.Tomino making his return and intending to try to develop perhaps another kind of Gundam series,Sunrise later released the rather controversial "Turn A Gundam".
