As the title suggested,07/04/2009 marked the 30th anniversaries of Gundam franchise since it first went on air on 07/04/1979.It is amazing how a franchise managed to survive that long especially the first series was nearly being canceled when the initial response was not very good,before it started to pick up later.
That's no denying that there are up's and down's with the introduction of each new series and there's a point when people thought the franchise has ended with the introduction of "Mobile Suit----Turn A Gundam",but it managed to rise like a phoenix in the form of "Mobile Suit----Gundam Seed",which has been dubbed as the revamped version of the original Gundam series.
With "Mobile Suit----Gundam 00:Second Season" come to an end,one have to wonder whether Sunrise,the developer of Gundam franchise,will introduce a Universal Century/Original Gundam related side story or another revamped Gundam series as their next project,although they have announced a movie for Gundam 00 series.Anyway,here's a salute to the franchise and hopefully,it will constantly point itself to the right direction to the 40th anniversaries.
Side Note:As the commemoration of the 30th anniversaries,Bandai Namco has announced the latest SD Gundam:G Generation series titled "SD Gundam:G Generation Wars" which they planned to release around summer in Japan.Pity they can only included the first season of "Mobile Suit----Gundam 00" as the second season only ended rather recently.Anyway,here's the
